On behalf of Guardian Girls International (@theguardiangirls), I’m excited to share highlights from the recent Guardian Girls Aikido (GGA) Seminar held at the Japan Center within the University of Los Andes (@centrodeljapon @uniandes). This event was organized in collaboration with @TransformandoNOScol, the Colombia Aikido Federation (@federacioncolombianadeaikido), and a dedicated female Colombian Aikido instructor.![]()

The GGA seminar is part of the broader Guardian Girls Colombia national program, managed by KIF Colombia, which aims to empower girls and women through self-defense training and education.![]()

We were also honored to welcome a representative from Colombia’s Ministry of Health (@minsaludcol), who delivered a powerful 30-minute presentation on gender-based violence in Colombia, raising awareness among the participants.![]()

Looking ahead, we are eager to collaborate further with Colombia’s Ministries of Health and Sports to expand the Guardian Girls Colombia program into more communities in need, empowering women and girls across the nation.![]()

This event marked the first launch of its kind in the Antioquia Department, a vibrant region home to 7 million residents. I was truly impressed by the dedication, enthusiasm, and meticulous organization of the City team! It was wonderful to empower over 90 women participants by equipping them with skills and knowledge to combat violence against women and girls (VAWG).![]()
